Matthew Bonar received the $500 band scholarship at the Calhoun Middle/High School banquet last week. Bonar was also
recognized for his outstanding dedication as a CHS band member. He was presented with a baritone mouthpiece to use next
year when he participates in the Marshall University Band
Band members, parents and instructors attended the annual banquet Thursday evening.
Each playing member of the band received a pin engraved with "Band," the majorettes received "Majorette" pins and the
dancers received "I Love Dance" pins.
Band Booster officers elected were:
President - Earlene Thomas;
Vice President - Marsha Swisher;
Secretary - Janice Westfall;
Treasurer - Terry Blankenship and
Recorder - Trina Beall.
