WV DEAD LAST IN GETTING COVID-19 VACCINE

(10/05/2021)
Vaccinating a high percentage of the population against COVID-19 is a crucial part of the U.S. strategy to curb the pandemic.

Since COVID-19 vaccine distribution began in the United States on Dec. 14, more than 395 million doses have been administered, fully vaccinating over 185 million people or 55.9% of the total U.S. population.

A survey of national statistics says that WV is dead last in being vaccinated, with Gov. Jim Justice's "Do it for Babydog" millions of dollars give-a-ways campaign producing negligible results.

West Virginia at 32.2% is a state with the highest percentage of adults who said their kids, aged 12 to 17, are unlikely to get a COVID vaccine. Nationally, that number is a little less than 15%.

Surveys say that West Virginians are adamantly opposed to mandated vaccines, although most have complied with mandated vaccines that adults and children have taken to eliminate some of the nations most deadly diseases in the 20th Century.

Other surveys indicate that most West Virginians cling to various conspiracy theories about vaccines, politicized against science.
