TUESDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - 1,000 WV STUDENTS HAVE COVID-19

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 1,037 new COVID-19 cases and 10 additional deaths in its report on Sept. 28.

The DHHR confirmed 1,163 new COVID-19 cases and 45 additional deaths in its report on Monday.

Calhoun appears to have 35 active cases.

On the Gov. Jim Justice's altered Harvard colored chart, recently Calhoun went from red (high) to green (lowest) in one day.

Justice is warning that the next surge will likely be driven by cold weather.

The state has topped 1,000 hospitalized.

1,000 WV students currently have COVID-19.

The DHHR reports there have been 237,002 (+1,037) total cases and 3,578 (+10) total deaths. According to the DHHR dashboard, there are currently 13,542 (-992) active cases.
