MCKAY ARRESTED IN CALHOUN ON ARSON CHARGES SECOND TIME

(01/04/2018)
Calhoun authorities have arrested Denzil Lee McKay Jr., 32, of Rowels Run, on a felony charge of attempted arson.

A criminal complaint filed by his mother Diane McKay says the accused attempted to burn her trailer down by placing a towel in an oven.

His mother told State Trooper D. C. Moore she and others in the trailer were awakened by rooms full of smoke, discovering the accused pacing, saying he wanted to kill everyone in the trailer.

He is in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $75,000.

McKay had been previously arrested on arson charges in 2015 when he burned down a trailer where he was living on Rowels Run.
