LONGTIME CALHOUN SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER JOHN ELLIOTT PASSES AT 91

A long-time member of the Calhoun Board of Education, John Wilbert Elliott of Millstone, has passed at 91. Elliott was remembered Sunday at the Whytsell Reunion, an event at which he had performed for many years. See   MILLSTONE OLDTIMER JOHN ELLIOTT - A Seasoned Man Of Many Talents Elliott was a school board member of 17 years, a veteran of World War II, and a retired employee of Pennzoil with 31 years of service, previously employed by Cabot. A devout member of the Church of Christ, he was known in more recent years for playing bluegrass and gospel music, hunting and fishing and was selected for the WV Turkey Hunters Hall of Fame. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg, with an hour of viewing at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Visitation also from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
