The Amber Nichole Lamp Memorial Music Scholarship went to Caitlin J. Roberts. She is the daughter of Keith and Cheryl Roberts of Millstone.

Amber was the daughter of Loretta Freshour and Boyd Richards, sister of Anthony Richards, mother of Natessa Nichole Little and granddaughter of Norma Feshour.

Amber died May 2, 2009 in an ATV accident, at the age of 24.

The Grantsville Grief Support Group started in February 2013. It is a small group that meets on Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. at the Oshoway Law Office on Main Street in Grantsville.

Last year the group started fundraising to help others in our community that have suffered a loss.

Members are a group of parents, spouses, family and friends, who have all suffered a loss and meet to share their feelings and talk about how they are dealing with that loss.

Member Sue Oshoway says, "We have different stages of loss, some of our loss was some time ago and some is more recent. We are not professionals, we have all suffered from the loss of a loved one very dear to us and we are just trying to help each other get through another day."

"The meetings are open to anyone and we encourage those suffering from the loss of a loved one to join us," said Oshoway. All discussion within the meeting is kept confidential, and not shared with anyone outside the group.

Oshoway said there is always food at the meeting, so if someone does not have time to go home and eat before the meeting, we will always have food there for them.
