Roger Hamilton, 59, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on March 21st, 2015 while relaxing at home.

He was predeceased by his father, Victor Hamilton II and older brother Victor Hamilton III.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Hamilton; his sister, Janet Hamilton Coberly (Ted); niece, Carolyn H. Coberly; nephew, Theodore H. Coberly (Beth) and their two children; and his brother's widow, Pamela Hamilton.

Roger was a native West Virginian, born in Parkersburg and raised in Grantsville, Calhoun County. After obtaining his degree in Business Administration from Glenville State College, Roger began a lifetime career in state government in the business offices of the West Virginia Department of Highways.

In addition to his love of and dedication to family, Roger loved travel, his collection of art (paintings, sculpture, antique furniture, and Blenko glassware) and the never ending remodeling of his home. Roger was noted for his sunny disposition, wonderful sense of humor, wide circle of friends, and the joy he derived from being a good neighbor and actively participating in neighborhood activities.

Funeral services will be conducted at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville, WV, on Thursday, March 26th at 3:00 p.m. Visitation with the family will begin at 2:00 p.m. prior to the services. He will join his father, brother, and prior generations of Hamiltons in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
