POLICE ARREST BEAR RUN MAN AFTER MAKING THREATS - Authorities Respond To Orma Following Alleged Gun Threats

Authorities responded to a disturbance call on Bear Run, off Nicut Road, Friday night.

The caller reported her brother was intoxicated, threatening to burn the house down and making threats on her life.

Natural Resource Police officers responded to the incident and the WV State Police.

Police arrested Delbert Ray Tolliver, 57, and charged him with domestic assault 1st/2nd without display of a weapon.

State Police responded to a 911 call from a woman at Sandstone Lane near Orma (Rt. 16) to what was first reported as a "shots fired" call involving two individuals.

Three cruisers responded to the incident at 6:43 p.m. Friday.

A further report indicated shots were not likely fired, but a subject, according to the initial report, was brandishing a 9mm pistol at the caller's boyfriend.

When officers arrived they said the situation was under control.

No arrests made.

An investigation was continuing.

The Calhoun Sheriffs Department was responding to a suspicious person call on Munday Road Friday night.

NRP officer Charles Stephens was dispatched just before midnight Friday to Millstone Hill (Rt. 16) to a report of alleged spotlighting for game activity.
