(03/03/2015)
A former Grantsville resident, Gary L. Campbell, 80, of Parkersburg, has died after a long illness.

Campbell was always recalling his early days in Grantsville and Calhoun, coming to the alumni gathering, having graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1953.

He was employed by Consolidated Natural Gas Company for 38 years, serving as Chief Engineer at several compressor stations until his retirement in 1993.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with Reverend Joe Busch officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery with Masonic Services. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Campbell provided the Hur Herald with some great Grantsville photos of dancing in the streets in 1956:
