David C. Wise, 55, of Glenville WV formerly of Spencer WV, died Monday, January 19, 2015, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, from multiple injuries received from a fall. He was born April 13, 1959, in Spencer, a son of the late Sherman and Sarah Jane Lockhart Wise. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-sister, Wanda Westfall; a sister, Susie Tanner; two brothers, William "Bucky" Wise and Sherman Edward Wise. David had worked helping build houses, cleaning right-of-ways and as a truck driver. Survivors include his fiancée, Judy Peggs of Glenville; children, Jeanetta Garcia of Norfolk Va.; son, James "J.D." Lattea of Parkersburg WV; stepson, Brian Peggs of Leon WV; six grandchildren and one step grandchild; two half-sisters, Dorothy "Ted" Harris and Barbara Bush both of Spencer; four sisters, Helen Springston, Marie Tanner, Peggy Tanner and Katie Westfall all of Spencer; two brothers, Robert Wise of Huttonsville WV and Ivan Ray Wise of Spencer. A funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday, January 24 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jack Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Mt.
