| MACHETE MAN - West Virginia State Police are looking for a Huntington man accused of breaking into an apartment at 3 a.m. , armed with a machete.
Police say the suspect knocked on a woman's door and forced his way in when she tried to open the door.
Troopers say the suspect was armed with a machete and tried to force the woman into a bedroom. She was able to escape and ran from the apartment.
Investigators say the suspect tried to steal some items from the woman's home and tried to escape, but was confronted by a neighbor, who hit him in the face with a baseball bat.
The suspect then dropped the stolen items and ran off.
No arrests have been made.
VICTIM STABS ATTACKERS - During the early hours Friday, officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a reported stabbing.
Two males that were injured during the incident underwent treatment at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
During the investigation, detectives found that Cody Blaney, 19, Jesse Moats, 20, and Anthony Mayne, 29, all of Morgantown, conspired to rob the victim.
The suspects began beating the victim and drug him from a vehicle and attempted to empty his pockets.
During the assault, the victim produced a knife and fought back against his attackers cutting two of them, requiring medical treatment.
Blaney was charged with First Degree Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. Blaney was arraigned and is currently in the North Central Regional Jail.
Moats was charged with First Degree Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. Moats was arraigned and is currently in the North Central Regional Jail.
Mayne was charged with First Degree Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. Mayne was arraigned and is currently in the North Central Regional Jail.
CLARKSBURG SHOOTING - Clarksburg Police say Joel Brandon Barrett was an the alleged shooter in a Wednesday night incident.
According to the complaint, Barrett and the victim, Jeremy Lynn Means, started arguing.
Barrett was apparently standing on his property, while Means was a few feet away in the street.
Barrett then allegedly shot Means in the chest.
The cause of the argument has yet to be determined.
The complaint says Barrett confessed to shooting Means.
