MINNIE HAMILTON WELCOMES PSYCHOLOGIST TO GILMER OFFICE AND SCHOOL HEALTH CLINIC

The Minnie Hamilton Health System Gilmer School-Based Health Clinic (SBHC) is pleased to announce the expansion of SBHC services to include Behavioral Health.

Dr. James Davison, Psychologist, will begin seeing patients on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. The Gilmer County SBHC is located on the main floor of the Gilmer County High School with behavioral health office hours every Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

In addition to the Gilmer County SBHC, Dr. Davison provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy services to adolescent and adult patients at the Minnie Hamilton Health System Glenville Office. Clinic hours for Dr. Davison at the MHHS Glenville Office are Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Dr. Davison earned a Masters of Education in Counseling from James Madison University in 1982 and a Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychology from Indiana State University in 1989. As a Licensed Psychologist, Dr. Davison brings over 20 years' experience and knowledge in Behavioral Health to our community. In addition to his work, Dr. Davison enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, attending church in Sand Fork and Civil War reenactment.

Appointments are made by a referral from a health care provider. As a psychologist, Dr. Davison does not prescribe medications for the treatment of any disorder or illness. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 304-462-7322.
