CALHOUN MAN CHARGED WITH BATTERY, SEXUAL ASSAULT

A Calhoun man, David Allen King, 20 (left) of Log Cabin Lane, Mt. Zion, has been charged by the West Virginia State Police with domestic battery and sexual assault/2nd degree, related to an incident last weekend.

Trooper D. C. Moore, in a criminal complaint, says the officer responded to a domestic dispute to discover the female victim being transported to the hospital, with evidence of marks, cuts and bruising from a physical altercation.

In a victim's statement, the woman said her boyfriend came home drinking on his nerve and psychiatric medications. In the statement, the woman said she attempted to take a beer bottle from him, after which "he slapped and knocked me down...kicking me with his steel-toed shoe."

The victim told police she lost consciousness, when alert she said King had busted all the light bulbs in the house.

When the woman attempted to escape, King dragged her back in the house, demanding sex, after which time the complaint says she was forced to have sex three or four times against her will.

The complaint says King then passed out at 5 a.m., the victim said "I went and packed my hospital bag," calling an ambulance from the neighbors, King had pulled the telephone wires from the wall.

The victim said King told her to tell the doctor, "I fell off a ladder and have PTSD."

King is in Central Regional Jail with bail posted at $9,000.
