Tips and calls regarding the finding of a woman's body under a Spencer bridge near
the post office are unfounded. The rumor first surfaced last week that Dawn Starcher
Seabolt, 18, missing since August 31, had been found.
Spencer Newspapers and WVRC both reported they had received inquiries.
Spencer Police Chief Gary Williams said the local department had exhausted all leads
and turned the case over to the State Police.
