MINERAL WELLS MURDER-SUICIDE - A man and woman are dead in Mineral Wells in what police say is a murder-suicide.

The Wood County Sheriff's Office says 8 a.m. Tuesday morning Christine Johnston called 911 from Oaks Trailer Park saying James Auvil was making suicide threats and making threats against her.

When deputies arrived seven minutes later they say Johnston and Auvil were both dead, the woman having multiple gunshot wounds, with the man having a single gunshot wound.

COUPLE SERIOUSLY INJURED BY ACCIDENTAL GUNSHOT - Police say a mother and her son were injured at Twilight, Boone by the same bullet in an apparent accidental gunshot. Both are in serious condition.

Phyllis Mooney, 63, and her son, Jason Mooney, 37, are undergoing emergency surgery at Charleston Area Medical Center.

Police said the two were arguing and Jason Mooney was collecting his things and leaving the residence. Police said Jason Mooney was attempting to break his rifle on the ground when the weapon discharged one time, hitting both him and his mother.

"Although the shooting appears to be accidental, the other details surrounding the incident are under investigation," White said. "We are looking into the possibility of Mr. Mooney being an unlawful possessor of a firearm," said police.

SHOOTIN' CAR WINDOWS - Residents in Kanawha and Lincoln counties found themselves with shattered or no car windows after someone shot them out during the weekend.

Cpl. Brian Humphreys with the Kanawha County Sheriffs Department said at least four people reported having their vehicles shot.

The shooter appears to have used an air rifle or a BB gun.
