STELLA BRANNON CHENOWETH WAS CONNECTED TO HISTORIC CALHOUN FAMILIES

Stella Brannon Chenoweth was connected to two of Calhoun's historic families, the Brannons and the Chennoweths. She has passed in Parkersburg, just short of her 100th birthday.

She had been an elementary teacher in Calhoun and Wood schools for 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, J. Wesley Chenoweth, she was the daughter of the late Weaver H. and Ollie Spencer Brannon of Orma.

Her deceased siblings are well-known to 20th Century Calhoun citizens as educators, business people and community leaders, including brothers, Ottice and Selden Brannon and sisters, Ivah Campbell, Mae Offutt and Elva Poling Kerby.
