WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB

(04/26/2012)
FAYETTE MAN STABBED - A Fayette County man was hospitalized after being stabbed. Lon Fredrick Pettry, 45, of Kimberly, was stabbed several times in the chest and arm, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Department.

He was then to CAMC General Hospital, where he was treated and released, according to a news release.

Police are saying Michael Brian Christian, 46, of Mount Carbon, stabbed Pettry. Christian fled before deputies arrived, but turned himself in later.

Fayette Sheriff Steve Kessler said the two men were apparently arguing.

HELD AT KNIFE-POINT - Westover Police arrested a man after he held a man at knife point.

Westover Police Chief James Smith said that Ernest Marshall approached a man around 11 p.m. and pulled a knife.

The victim went to raise his hands in the air and was cut on the hand by the knife, he said.

Marshall then held the knife at the victim's throat, but did not cut him.

Chief Smith said the event was the result of an earlier encounter between Marshall and the victim.

Marshall has been charged with malicious wounding and his bail set at $15,000.
