CALHOUN EDGED FROM FIRST PLACE - Ten Counties Have Double Digit Unemployment

Calhoun County was edged out of the top position of having the most unemployment (May) in West Virginia. Mason County led the pack with 14.1 percent. There are ten counties reporting double digit unemployment.

Calhoun was second with 13.1 percent.

Clay was another regional county in the high unemployment group at 11.9 percent, and Roane had 10.5 percent.

Unemployment stats do not include individuals who have left the unemployment benefit period.
