The Calhoun County Substance Abuse Coalition sponsored a merchant training on Thursday, May 5th at the Calhoun County Family Resource Network office.

Biddy Bostic, Synar Compliance Specialist, and Cathy Wortz and Charles Yakubow from Bureau for Behavioral Health and Health Facilities, conducted a 'Lunch and Learn' for tobacco merchants on the "See Red" campaign. All retailers who sell tobacco were invited to attend the free event.

The "See Red" campaign involves packets of materials explaining to merchants how to easily identify individuals who are under the age of 18 via their state identification cards or their state issued drivers license.
