Cloie Kirby Hopkins, 90, formerly of Nobe and Big Bend, died February
4, 2001 at The Willows.
She was born June 30, 1910, at Hur, Calhoun County, a daughter of the
late Thomas and Mary
Elizabeth Seward Kirby.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and
spending time with her
family.
She was a member of Millstone Church of Christ and attended 36th.

Surviving Mrs. Hopkins are two sons, Olin Hopkins of Houston,
Delaware, and Leo Hopkins of
Big Bend, WV. Two daughters, Bernadene Lott of Big Springs, WV and
Dianne Barr of Mineral
Wells, WV; eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Lee Hopkins in 1955;
one son, Donald
Hopkins in 2000; one daughter, Irmajean Richards in 1990; one grand
daughter, one
great-grand daughter; three brothers and five sisters.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Busch Funeral
Home, Elizabeth, WV.
Evangelist Tom D. Butterfield will officiate. Burial will be in the
Hunt Cemetery, Calhoun County.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and until the time of
service on Thursday.
