POLICE SAY SEARCH WARRANT ISSUED ON CALHOUN BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT - "We Do Have A Strong Suspect"

(09/28/2010)
The WV State Police issued a search warrant a week or so ago on property associated with a suspect in the Calhoun Bank robbery at Arnoldsburg on Sept. 13, according to Grantsville detachment commander Sgt. O. S. Starsick.

"While we were hoping for more, the search revealed about what we expected," he said, further indicating, "We do have a strong suspect."

Starsick said police have been wading through several leads provided by Calhoun citizens, and several have been eliminated.

The officer said last week that at least one suspect had been given a polygraph test.

A male entered the Arnoldsburg bank and threatened employees with a knife, getting away with an undisclosed amount of money.

"We've been working long hours on the case," Starsick said.

"We still want to talk with anyone who has information or clues," he said.

The ATV used in the robbery has yet to be recovered.

Following the robbery, a suspect on an ATV was spotted in the Spring Run, Road Run and Beech area.
