Glenville, WV - Six students from Calhoun County were awarded their degrees during the 136th Glenville State College Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Kristy Michele Abel of Arnoldsburg was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education with a specialization in Business Education (5-Adult). Julia Estep of Grantsville received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Zachary Russell Hupp received an Associate Degree in Land Surveying Technology. Shaun Michael Laughlin of Arnoldsburg earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer and Information Systems. Cameron Myles Nicholas received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resource Management. Alisha Lynn Tawney of Cox's Mills earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Science with a concentration in Criminal Justice. Travis Scott Yost of Big Springs received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resource Management and an Associate Degree in Land Surveying Technology. "I am confident that the campus successes of the Glenville State College Class of 2010 will be repeated as they begin new academic and professional pursuits. I am also certain that in the years ahead, these proud alumni will name Glenville State as the college that made a difference in their professional and personal choices," said Glenville State College President Dr. Peter Barr. The Glenville State College Class of 2010 includes one hundred and sixty-seven graduates who completed requirements for an Associate or Bachelor Degree in a variety of academic areas including business, teacher education, and natural resource management. These students represent thirty-one West Virginia counties, ten other states (Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia), and one other country (Canada).
