(05/17/2010)
Three Calhoun High School students received the 2010 Melissa Oshoway Memorial Criminal Justice Scholarship at the awards ceremony held Thursday at the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center.

The scholarship is given each year to a Calhoun or Gilmer County student currently attending the Career Center and pursuing a career in the field of Criminal Justice.

"We have always awarded just one scholarship each year since 2005, but this year we had too many applicants that deserved to receive this scholarship," said Sue Oshoway. The committee decided to give a full $1,000 scholarship to three individuals.

The recipients are Kristin Ballengee, Clover Wanstreet, and Zachary Moore.
