Hennen's attorney Walt Auvil says Hennen is looking forward to defending herself.

The intimidation charges are related to an undisclosed investigation by the State Police, reportedly related to Hennen and her office.

The Wirt County Commission has had several meetings with the State Police regarding problems that surfaced in August.

Authorities have been tight-lipped about that investigation.

The criminal complaint accuses Hennen of threatening to fire one deputy assessor and accusing another of prompting the investigation.
