The Morris Criminal Justice Training Center was dedicated Monday afternoon (Aug. 31) by the governor and other dignitaries. The facility is a joint effort involving Glenville State College, the State of West Virginia and the Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety.

The former Glenville Shoe Factory and 10-acres of land were donated by I.L. (Ike) and Sue Morris of Glenville. The Morris' also provided funding for the multi-million dollar renovation. All state corrections training will be conducted at the new facility.

Ike Morris gave a special thank-you to Brent Boggs, (D-Braxton-34th District) WV House of Delegates Majority Leader, for his efforts which smoothed 11th hour attempts to derail the project.
