A Calhoun man, 37-year-old John M. Richards, is facing additional charges
related to sexual misconduct. Richards is currently serving a six month
sentence in Central Regional Jail, related to indecent exposure and fleeing
in Wood County.
The new charges are linked to an incident at a Bowman Street parking lot in
Spencer last July. Richards is accused of approaching two teenage girls,
exposing himself and asking them to participate in a sex act. Spencer Police
have brought two counts each of indecent exposure and solicitation of a
lewd sex act.
Spencer Police had earlier charged Richards for indecent exposure and
assault, among other charges, for an incident act at a Spencer laundry in
December.
