FORMER CALHOUN MINISTER PAUL MORRISON HAS DIED

A clergyman well-known to Calhoun residents, the Rev. Paul Morrison has died at age 90 in Ravenswood. The Braxton County native began his ministry at the age of 21, eventually joining the United Methodist Conference where he was ordained Deacon and received his Elders license in 1956 while serving in Calhoun County. His ministry called him to serve in Braxton, Calhoun, Roane, Jackson and Wood counties. He retired in 1983 at the age of 65 then accepted an after-retirement appointment, where he served 18 more years. He completely retired in 2002, shortly after his wife's death.
