Charles H. "Chuck" Coon, 49, of Parkersburg, formerly of Hur, died November 23 at Mt.
Zion, Calhoun County, at his mother's residence. He is the son of Murlene J. Coon of
Mt. Zion and the Late Fred Coon. He was a retired truck driver.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Darlene Prendergast Coon, two
sons, Andrew S. and Charles H. Coon, of Parkersburg; a daughter, Asia L. Coon of
Parkersburg.
Sisters, Shelia Hardbarger of Elizabeth; Beverly Wagoner of South Point, Ohio; Norma
J. Coon of Mt. Zion and Sandra Luskin of Middleburg Heights, Ohio. He was preceded
in death by his father and a brother, Freddie D. Coon.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Stump
Funeral Home, Grantsville with the Reverend William D. Stutler officiating. Interment
will be in the Fred Coon Cemetery on the Kerby Ridge near Hur. Friends may call at
the funeral home one hour prior to services.
