187 CALHOUNERS WILL NOT GET STIMULUS CHECK - Mostly Retirees & Disabled Vets Over 65 Missing Out

Up to 50,000 West Virginians will not receive their federal stimulus check unless they take action. The IRS has released a county-by-county number, mostly retirees and disabled veterans who are eligible. Most have not been required to file a federal income tax form in the past. The IRS list says 187 Calhoun residents have not filed, a slightly revised number from an earlier report given by the Herald. Most are over the age of 65. Numbers from other regional counties that have yet to file for their stimulus check: Braxton 393 Clay 339 Gilmer 208 Ritchie 286 Roane 419 Wirt 158 Wood County has 2,066, Kanawha 5,614 and Cabell 2,542.
