RT. 5 HOUSE B & E REPORTED - More Mail Box Bashing, Hit And Run

Police are reportedly investigating the breaking and entering of a house Saturday night on Rt. 5, about five miles east of Grantsville. Sources say the door was broken open on the modular house, which is owned by an out-of-area holder. No information was available regarding what might have been taken from the house. More weekend vandalism of mailboxes. Authorities received reports of mailboxes being bashed on upper Nicut and Altizer Road. Last weekend, there was a number of mailboxes destroyed. State Police are reportedly investigating what appeared to be a hit-and-run collision at Chloe Saturday night. In this case, the vehicle that was struck quickly left the scene. Police reportedly responded to a 911 call regarding a fight about to break-out at a residence near the Calhoun EMS station.
