CMS-CLAY CO. VOLLEYBALL RESULTS

The Calhoun Middle School volleyball team hosted Clay County Tuesday evening in a conference match.

The "B" team swept Clay 25-16, 25-15 to win the match. Kenzie Laughlin lead "B" with 9 points, 5 aces. Kayla Cottrell added 7 points, 6 aces; Katie Collins 6 points, 3 aces; Brittiny Miller 3 points, 1 ace; Samantha Fulks 2 points, 2 aces; and Brook Green 2 points, 1 ace. Samantha Fulks was 1/2 setting.

The "A" team lost the first game 16-25 but battled back 25-18, 25-23 to take the match victory.

Ashley Houchin lead "A" with 16 points, 8 aces. Savannah Church added 9 points, 8 aces; Rochelle Gerwig 4 points, Amber Wilford 2 points, 1 ace; Kenzie Laughin 2 points, 1 ace; Jordan Mace 1 point and Michelle Hall 1 point. Savannah Church was 12/13 setting and Amber Wilford was 5/5. From the attack line, Jordan Mace was 4/5, Ashley Houchin was 2/2, Karissa Reip was 2/6 and Michelle Hall was 1/4.

Calhoun hosts Spencer Middle School on Thursday, September 28. "B" team play begins at 6 p.m.
