NEWSPAPER CARRIER DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL

A Charleston Gazette newspaper carrier whose car crashed on Rowel's Run near Hur early Friday morning has been released from Charleston Area Medical Center.

Bonnie Adkins, 23, of Big Otter, lost control of her vehicle on the rural road during foggy conditions, the car tumbled over a steep embankment, ripping its top off as it struck a tree.

Adkins was left in a precarious situation, almost dangling in her car as rescue personnel extracted her from the vehicle.

She was first taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center and then transfered to CAMC for treatment of a head injury.
