SCHOOL BOARD TAKES CARE OF LAST MINUTE BUSINESS

The Calhoun Board of Education took care of some last minute business at a special meeting Monday, prior to the beginning of school Friday. Don Harris reported on the August 15 CGCC meeting and Carlene Frederick reported on the August 17 RESA and the August 13 WVSBA Communications Committee. Rick Fitzwater moved and Cynthia Dale seconded that the board enter into executive session at 7:10 p.m. for discussion of personnel, after which the following personnel actions were approved: Retirement/Resignations: Sandra Lancaster Kristie Ritchie - Varsity Cheerleading Coach Medical Leave of Absence - William Cunningham Job Postings: Language Arts Teacher - CMHS Elementary Teacher (CSRP) RMT - Pleasant Hill Temporary Bus Operator Temporary Career Center Run Varsity Cheerleading Coach Employment: Sharon Jones - Half Time Multi Subjects (CMHS) Angela Sims - Elementary Teacher ( CSRP) Kathryn Wood - RMT Pleasant Hill Larry Stinn - Mentor - Pleasant Hill Principal Larry Stinn - Mentor - Arnoldsburg Principal Bryan Sterns- Mentor - Assistant Principal (CMHS) Terry Jones - Mentor - Half Time Mathematics Teacher (CMHS Chastity Hupp - Substitute Teacher Sharon Jones - Substitute Teacher The next regular meeting is scheduled for September 19 with a work session at 4:00 p.m. for Board/Superintendent Goals and the regular meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. All board members were present.
