JAKE PERKINS SUFFERS FRACTURED LEG

Former Calhoun High School basketball star Jake Perkins was injured in an oil field accident a few days ago in Boone County, suffering a fractured leg. The leg injury reportedly happened when he encountered a dozer track, working for Pete Gould, Inc. Perkins is recovering at his residence at Chloe, after being taken to CAMC by HealthNet. "It could have been much worse," said Jake, who said they placed a rod in his leg. "The driver of the dozer noticed he had caught me with the track and he stopped," he said. He is scheduled to return to the hospital for a check-up.
