GOODNIGHT NEW SCHOOL COUNSELOR

Calhoun High School has a new school counselor.

Mrs. Terri Goodnight was recently hired by the school board.

Goodnight graduated from Glenville State College in 1997 with a B.S. in Behavioral Science and a minor in Behavioral Disorders.

She earned an M.A. in Community Counseling from Marshall University Graduate College in December 2001. She will complete certification for School Counseling through MUGC this May.

Goodnight worked at Action Youth Care in Spencer as a therapist and supervisor from August 1997 until August 2000, and then worked at Kanawha Valley Center from August 2000 until April 2003.

She was the School Based Health Counselor for Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center until January 2005.

Goodnight said everybody has been warm and welcoming to her. She really enjoys working with the students and staff at Calhoun County High School, she says.
