RED HATS AND LIGHTS ON! UNITE

Submitted by Jean Simers Judy Bowman, Vivian Dye, Mary Louise Smith, Jean Simers, Linda Harris Members of the Calhoun County Red Hat Society participated in a Lights On! class this past Saturday to decorate their hats. They also made a tote bag of "red hat" fabric to take on their shopping trips or to their "hoots". The county has enjoyed the Lights On! twenty-first century learning grant for the last three years. Since adult classes cannot be funded through the new Heads Up! grant, the county is utilizing remaining monies to fund a few adult classes. Pictures of the event indicate participants had a great time. The ladies have "hat-attitude." Some members of the group are planning to attend the Red Hat Day in Marietta on October 23rd and others are also planning on a shopping trip sponsored by CCCOA to Prime Outlets in Grove City, Pennsylvania on November 6th.
