Members of the Calhoun County Red Hat Society participated in a Lights On! class this past Saturday to decorate their hats.
They also made a tote bag of "red hat" fabric to take on their shopping trips or to their "hoots".
The county has enjoyed the Lights On! twenty-first century learning grant for the last three years. Since adult classes cannot be funded through the new Heads Up! grant, the county is utilizing remaining monies to fund a few adult classes.
Pictures of the event indicate participants had a great time.
The ladies have "hat-attitude."
Some members of the group are planning to attend the Red Hat Day in Marietta on October 23rd and others are also planning on a shopping trip sponsored by CCCOA to Prime Outlets in Grove City, Pennsylvania on November 6th.
