(03/09/2004)
State Police have arrested a Chloe man Sunday on multiple counts, including domestic assault, domestic battery and malicious wounding.

Douglas R. Jackson, 44, is being housed in Central Regional Jail following an altercation with Pamela Hicks of Chloe, where he reportedly was involved in an incident where punched her and cut her with a knife.

Authorities intervened on what was described as a "dangerous situation."

Reports said Jackson was also "threatening her with a golf club," after she had filed a domestic violence protection order.

State Police and the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department responded to two separate calls Sunday, where Jackson reportedly showed up at the Hicks trailer near the Clay County line along Route 16.

Jackson was arraigned by Magistrate Rick Postalwait on the three charges. The malicious wounding charge carries up to 10 years in prison, the domestic battery charge carries up to one year in jail and a fine and the domestic assault is up to six months in jail and a fine.
