Born in Meigs County, Ohio, he was a son of Ralph and Ocie McCune of Middleport, Ohio. He was an outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman.

Surviving Mr. McCune in addition to his parents are 2 brothers and sisters in law, Dick and Marcella McCune of Orrville; Kenneth and Janet McCune of Orma, WV, 2 sisters and brothers in law, Rita and Mark Lower of Smithville, Ohio; Vee and Robert Johns of Orrville, and sister, Sharon Warner of Pomeroy, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Interment will be in the Orma Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Saturday.
