Randy Perkins with slippery greased pig and anxious chasers Girls down the slippery critter, while another crashes through a fence and seeks comfort in West Fork woods Boys make mad dash to be winning pig catcher Hur Herald Photos 2008 A popular side event at the 11th annual bluegrass event at Chloe over the weekend was the greased pig contest, with a number of young folks in several age groups participating in one of the favorite county fair events. This year, there was a repeat performance by one of the two greasy pigs. It got away from its youthful chasers, wiggling under the fence, running across the park and hitting the deep West Fork woods, not to be seen again. Fire Chief Perkins, who was adequately greased himself, declared winners in several attempts, while the large crowd cheered either for the pig or the kids during the fast-moving event.
