![]() Donald Poage and group supports sugar cane project FFA teacher Donald Poage and group ask for approval for growing sugar cane on school property. A group representing Calhoun's FFA proposed to the school board Monday to use school property to grow cane. FFA teacher Donald Poage said, "We have researched the sugar cane growing, a learning experience for our students." The project has received a $1,000 Resource Development Board grant to West Fork Community Action of Arnoldsburg, a group interested in the project in growing cane for the Molasses Festival.
