By Bob Weaver 2001 Dean and Janet White wanted to get out of Ohio and back to the hills. "I couldn't take another day at Ford Motor," Dean said. The White's, natives of Braxton County, came to Calhoun looking for a place to live and work and settled at Nicut thirty-five years ago. They bought the Willie Bourne house with its post office and store just across the road. "We have never regretted living here," said Janet White. "We have really appreciated it since we have grown older."
