MAN ARRESTED AFTER FLEEING FROM POLICE
A Calhoun man, Eddie Lee Ackley, 23, is housed in Central Regional Jail on charges that were related to an incident several days ago when a vehicle reportedly struck parked cars on Country Lanes, with the subject then fleeing into the woods.Ackley is charged with driving on suspended or revoked license non-DUI, fleeing from an officer, reckless driving, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
The charges were brought by Chief Deputy Ron Bandy, who was investigating the 911 call, when he encountered Ackley who fled and and ran into the woods at Calhoun Homes.
