GILMER MAN SHOT IN HEAD - State's First Hunting Accident |

West Virginia's first deer hunting accident has been reported in Gilmer County. Cethus Flusman, 54, of Midway suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center in Grantsville where he was treated and released. Forty-one-year-old Eric Hardman of Rockport has been charged with negligent shooting. Hardman told DNR officers that he thought he was shooting at a groundhog. He has been charged with negligent shooting. The shooting occurred near Rock Camp Road in Gilmer County.
