Attention Company
The attention of ex-confederates is called to the fact, that last fall
at the call of Corporal Trippett a few of us met and attempted to organize
a Camp of United Confederate Veterans. That organization has not
yet been completed and to secure us recognition and representation at the
National Re-Union to be held at Atlanta, Geo., on July 20, 21, 22 and 23,
1898. It is necessary that it be done before April 1st.
I hope that every Confederate in this and adjoining counties that can
make it possible, will meet us at Grantsville, on the 19th of March.
Come! It is a duty we owe to ourselves and to those who are to live
after us. I believe that now, as in the past, you will not prove
recreant to duty, or ever falter in the hour of need.
