Former Convict Killed in Philippines in 1901

It will be news to most of our readers to learn that Charley Walker, who gained such an unenviable reputation in the Circuit Court a few years ago, and was sent to the penitentiary from this county for stealing a horse from Perry Mace, was killed in the Philippine Islands, recently, while fighting bravely for his country.
