S.T. Waldo is at work on the largest instrument of writing ever put
on record in the county. It is a deed of trust from the Columbia
Gas and Electric Co., to the Knickerbocker Trust Co. to secure $25,000,000.00
5-percent gold bonds. The trust deed includes several thousand acres
of oil and gas lands in this county, purchased from A.E. Kenney, E.L. Austin,
J.F. Donaldson and others. This trust deed will cost several thousand
dollars to record in the several counties as it is a book of 180 closely
printed non-pareil type pages. |
