Calhoun is one of three regional counties that the US Census Bureau is estimating a population increase for 2011.
The bureau says Calhoun is estimated to have gained 25 citizens, making the population 7,652 for 2011.

Monongalia County has replaced Cabell County as the states third most populated with a count of 98,528.
Kanawha County continues to decline in population, being first at 192,315, with
Berkley County the fastest growing at 105,750 and Cabell at 96,653.
West Virginia is the only state in the USA to have more deaths than births, says the Bureau. |
