Aged Irishman is Hale and Hearty in 1921

Transcribed by Norma Knotts Shaffer from microfilm of the Calhoun Chronicle dated 2/17/1921.

"Uncle" Tom Collins, of near Bigbend, was a pleasant visitor at the Chronicle office this week.  He is pumping the Carter lease on the river above Carrolltown, having moved there from Big Springs.  Mr. Collins was born in Ireland seventy-four years ago come March 1st next, and is hale and hearty despite his years.  He is one of the very few Irishmen born on the Emerald Isle left in this country.
