Williams Adds Boat to River Traffic in 1921

Transcribed by Norma Knotts Shaffer from microfilm of the Calhoun Chronicle dated 2/3/1921.

The Steamer Violet has entered the passenger trade between this place and Creston.  The boat was built by Capt. Norman Williams, the pioneer gasolene boat man, and is manned by his sons J.C. and Harry Williams.  The boat is well built and well equipped and is making the trip in shorter time than other boats have done.
