Riverboat Travel Proves Unreliable in 1911

Transcribed by Norma Knotts Shaffer from microfilm of the Calhoun Chronicle dated 9/19/1911.

The gasolene boat Edith H., went on an excursion   to the government lock Sunday, with about twenty-five passengers aboard.  On the return trip something went wrong with their engine and it was between 3 and 4 o'clock Monday morning when the excursionists returned home.
